Une Abecedaire by Diane Halas Routt

I found the Internet through my son and daughter-in-law,
who told me about quilting newsgroups almost three years
ago.
For my TNARQ? piece, I made a "book quilt" that describes two features of what Robert Louis Stevenson called The Land of Counterpane. I made a book quilt because conceptually and physically, all books are quilts, and all quilts are texts. Books have three parts--a beginning, a middle and an end--held together by a narrative or conceptual thread. Physically, the three parts of a book--front cover, pages, and back are sewn together. In addition, a child might find a book quilt very comforting to take to bed.
